2017 MSAVHCC Annual Awards Banquet and Gala - GET YOUR TICKETS
The Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and its Officers are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Awards Banquet and Gala. This is the Chamber's signature event designed to recognize the achievements of the Metropolitan Savannah region's top Hispanic-owned businesses, dynamic industry leaders and major corporations that are committed to improve supplier diversity. The Banquet will also present awards to the businesses and leaders, who have gone above and beyond helping this sector of the economy start, grow and thrive in spite of many barriers that have stifled their start, operation and growth. These individuals have had a significant impact on the local Hispanic community and they will be publicly recognized with the Hispanic Chamber's Crystal Globe Award.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Hispanic Business Woman of the Year
Awarded to the top Hispanic female of a business of any size located or headquartered in the Metro Savannah four (4) County Region (Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, and Liberty). Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. As the owner or high ranking Latina female executive of her company, the winner exemplifies the strength and importance of (A) Hispanic entrepreneurship, (B) organizational management and (C) community leadership
Hispanic Businessman of the Year
Awarded to the top Hispanic male of a business of any size located or headquartered in the Metro Savannah four (4) County Region (Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty). Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. As the top Latino male executive of his company, the winner exemplifies the strength and importance of (A) Hispanic entrepreneurship, (B) organizational management and (C) community leadership.
Hispanic Community Champion
This award is intended to recognize a non-Hispanic individual that has lead by example in supporting the progress of the Hispanic community of Metropolitan Savannah Region. It also recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the development and empowerment of the Hispanic community in Metropolitan Savannah Region.
This award may be bestowed upon individuals from the community at large.
Hispanic Business of the Year
Award recognizes locally owned businesses that have been in operation for more than three years. Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. A strong emphasis is placed on the business financial success or growth; job creation innovations and contributions in the company or industry; demonstrated leadership or community involvement; and honors or awards. This business could be of any size but has to be located or headquartered in the Georgia four (4) County Region (Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, and Liberty).
Young Hispanic Leader of The Year Award
This award is intended to recognize a young Hispanic individual that has lead by example in supporting the progress of the Hispanic community of Metropolitan Savannah Region. It also recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the development and empowerment of the Hispanic community in Metropolitan Savannah Region and are an example of commitment, passion, and an example for others to follow. Nominee must be in the 18 through 35 years of age.
Emerging Business of the Year Award
Nominee must be an active business located or operating in the Metropolitan Savannah area. Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Nominee must have been in business for less than 1 year.

Our Master of Ceremony is the Emmy Nominated Jesse Blanco from Eat It and Like It WSAV TV Show. He was Savannah?s 1st Hispanic Sports Anchor in 1999, and later became the city's 1st Hispanic News Anchor in July 2008 when he anchored Savannah's 10:00 pm newscast on WTGS.
Our Speaker will be Mr. Santiago Marquez, President and CEO of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a membership of over 2,000 members, who will be developing a message reflective of this year?s Gala Theme ?Business with a Social Conscience?
