DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\n\nMarch 20\, 2023\n\nContact: \n\nAlfonso Ribot\n\n(912) 495-7276 - office\n\n(904) 422-5019 - cell\n\nyouth_options@msavhcc.org\n\nMEDIA ALERT\n\n \n\n13 METROPOLITAN SAVANNAH AREA STUDENTS ACCEPTED \n\nTO YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS' ACADEMY\n\n \n\nSavannah\, Georgia (March 20\, 2023) The Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will kick off the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) on March 22\, with 13 of the best and brightest middle and high school students with a keen drive to launch and run their own\, real businesses.\n\n \n\nA competitive application process required students to complete an essay\, write responses to short answer questions\, submit their school transcripts and a reference\, and participate in an in-person interview prior to acceptance into the program. \n\n \n\nThroughout the year students will work in close cooperation with local business leaders\, community leaders and educators who use their personal experiences to demonstrate how to develop business ideas and objectives\, write a business plan\, pitch to investors\, obtain funding\, register with governmental agencies\, establish e-commerce and a web presence\, and more. \n\n \n\nBy the end of the 30-week class\, students own and operate fully formed and functioning businesses\, which may be carried after their graduation from the program. \n\n \n\nClasses will be held at Savannah Technical College Main Campus 5717 White Bluff Road Savannah\, GA 31405 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. and instructed by local entrepreneur Kewaan Drayton owner of the Mailbox Caf and several other businesses in the region.\n\n \n\nThe Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a national program offered for students in grades 6 to 12 by chambers of commerce\, professional organizations\, colleges and universities and public and private middle and high schools.
