    What You Need to Know About Your Business and COVID-19

     

    The Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is listening to the direction of Governor Brian Kemp, Chatham County Chairman Al Scott, and Savannah Mayor Van Johnson who are all in agreement about the order to flatten the curve of COVID-19, we are practicing social distancing. Our MSAVHCC Team, Board Members and many of our business community partners will be working remotely during their regular business hours.  An MSAVHCC volunteer staff will be answering calls Monday – Friday from 9:00AM – 5:00PM.     We encourage members to stay up-to-date with information from Federal, State and local resources regarding COVID-19 and to take all necessary precautions for your business and employees. Below is a list of resources.

    United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) proudly partnered with Administrator Jovita Carranza and Associate Administrator Allen Gutierrez of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to help connect our Latina and Latino-owned small businesses with emergency capital resources to help weather the economic consequences of the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) crisis.  Hispanic Chamber of Commerce leaders across the country, and many corporate members were in that Conference.

    As of today, 45 states have already been approved for disaster loan applications and the SBA Administrator announced today that all 50 states plus the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories will likely be approved by Monday.
